Just want to say, Anas Todkill, author of "My Lady Pokanhontas" is an ancestor of mine which my Grandma discovered when researching her family tree. He was a real person from exactly that time period described in the book. He was one of the Todkills of Lincoln.
Cooke may or may not have embellished the tale, but Anas definitely existed, please do not do him a disservice!
